Tom and his sister’s struggle to keep their clothes clean and tidy when their mother invites her friends for tea.

Peter and Benjamin venture into Mr. McGregor’s garden to retrieve Peter’s jacket and shoes. However, the two young cousins end up trapped in a basket that Mr. McGregor’s cat decides to take a nap on.

Jemima wants to hatch her own eggs so tries to find a secret nesting place away from the farm but runs into the foxy-whiskered gentleman who ‘helps’ her to find a suitable place.

Jemima thinks he is a handsome, civil gentleman and is particularly pleased when he shows her to his home and tells her that she can build her nest there. He later invites her to dinner, but she doesn’t realize that he plans to have her for dinner stuffed with herbs and onions!
Most famous human character and is remembered for chasing Peter Rabbit out of his garden and for using Peter’s jacket and shoes on his scarecrow.
Samuel Whiskers is a particularly mean rat who ties Tom up and tries to turn him into a roly-poly pudding, which he can eat for dinner!
Mopsy first appears in The Tale of Peter Rabbit and along with her sisters picks blackberries whilst Peter is creating mischief in Mr. McGregor’s garden.
Hunca Munca also visits the dolls house every morning to clean it before the dollies wake up as a way of making amends for the mess they made!
Cotton-tail is also Peter Rabbit's sister and joins Flopsy and Mopsy picking blackberries and enjoying them for supper whilst Peter is ill in bed and has to take a dose of camomile tea!
Jeremy Fisher has a day full of the worst fisherman’s mishaps when he sets out to catch minnows for his dinner. Not only does he fail to catch any minnows, but a trout tries to eat him and only spits him out because he doesn’t like the taste of his macintosh!
Mrs Tiggy-winkle is a small, round twinkly-eyed washerwoman; but has prickles under her cap and does the laundry for some surprising customers, including Peter Rabbit and Squirrel Nutkin!
John Joiner is the black Scottie dog that comes to Tom Kitten’s rescue. He saws open the floorboards and digs down to rescue poor Tom. Once the little kitten is safe, the handyman fixes the floorboards.
The sensible little pig is sent to market but gets lost in the woods on the way. He find’s himself in Mr. Piperson’s farm where he discovers the little black pig, Pig-wig, whom the farmer wants to turn into bacon or ham. Pigling Bland helps her to escape to safety and he never finds his way to market
Miss Moppet tries to catch a mouse, but hurts her head as she crashes into a cupboard the mouse is hiding behind. She pretends to be hurt by wrapping a duster round her head and pounces on the mouse when he comes to investigate. But the mouse outsmarts the young kitten and dances a jig to celebrate.
A naughty rabbit, Peter who escaped from Mr. McGregor’s garden.
Flopsy appears in The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies in which she helps to trick Mr. McGregor by rescuing her young children from his sack and filling it with old vegetables.
Squirrel Nutkin sails across the lake with his cousins to gather nuts on Owl Island. Famous for his impertinent riddles, he soon finds himself in serious trouble with Old Brown the owl. Nutkin is lucky to get away with only half his tail missing!
Mr. Tod the fox is an enemy of the rabbit family but unintentionally becomes an ally when Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny band together again to rescue Benjamin’s children who have been kidnapped by the badger Tommy Brock, Mr. Tod’s arch-enemy.
